About
Twin Cities Blues
Twin Cities Blues is dedicated to paying tribute to all the hardworking, underpaid and very talented blues musicians who have and do call Minnesota home. This site features daily YouTube blues videos of local and national blues bands, blues news, blues links and so much more.
This site would not be possible if it wasn’t for the inspiration of Ray Stiles and his dedicated work at Blues on Stage and the amazing blues photography of Tom Asp.
The Author:
Over the last 10 years TwinCitiesBlues.com site creator Shawn Wallin has helped design and create free or low cost web sites for local and national blues bands including Harmonica Curtis Blake (Minnesota), Scotty Reed (Minnesota), Big George Jackson (Minnesota), Cool Disposition (Minnesota), Scarlet Runner (Iowa), Sean Carney (Ohio), JW-Jones (Ottawa, Canada) and Ryan Hartt and the Blue Hearts (Connecticut).
Shawn started his first blues blog in 1997 called TooBlue.net (no longer in existence) which featured monthly “Too Blue’s Minnesota Blues Artists of the Month” spotlights with reviews, artist profiles and much more.
In addition to being a blues enthusiast and blues promoter, Shawn is also a hobby musician having spent stage time as a guitarist for the blues rock band Zen Garage, original member of the Chicago/West Coast styles of Cool Disposition, backing local harmonica virtuoso Boom Boom Steve Vonderharr and occasionally still performs with the Scotty Reed Band. He has also had the pleasure of sitting in along side his blues idols Big George Jackson, Rockin’ Daddy and the Rough Cuts, Joe T. Cook, Joel Johnson and R.J. Mischo.
Shawn is also an aspiring hobby photographer who always brings his digital camera with him whenever the opportunity to see a live band occurs. Be sure to check out Shawn Wallin Photography to see his portfolio.

Great website. Many of the local (recorded) music stores that I go to do not have a very large blues section. How about adding links to good sources for recorded blues, whether its a local store or a website?
